We had a late get up today, so that people could rest from the night before. We agreed to meet at 10am to help clear up after the party. This gave me time to tidy my stuff away and wash my clothes from the night before’s fall in the mud. When we arrived at the Pentfuff we saw a lady by the fire warming up, and two people inside still asleep, the last of the revellers. We managed to tidy the Pentruff pretty quick, which meant we could grab some of the veg before going our separate ways.
I grabbed some salad from the poly tunnel, some kale from the field and some duck eggs and potatoes from the store.
I decided to then go on a walk with Aga, Willow and Alexandra, just around the edge of Pandy Rock. There were great views from the highest point, seeing out to the sea and Angelsey beyond. It was a great day to finish on, the sun was shining and the sky was blue.
After a short walk I set off on my way to Holyhead and the ferry. I made a stop to Tesco to get some petrol and groceries. Arrived at the ferry in good time, so made my way through. I’d never been on a ferry with my car before, so was a bit unsure where to go, but it was all pretty self-explanatory. Once onboard it was a 3 ½ hour journey, so settled in the lounge and did some diary updates.
Once in Dublin it was a swift departure from the ferry, then made my way through the town. It looked very much like London, but then I guess it would, being the capital, even saw Google. I’ve been to Dublin twice before, but that was as a walking passenger so got the bus to where we needed to be. None of what I saw rang any bells.
Found a britstop about half an hour south of Dublin, so pulled up there about 8.30pm. It seemed like a lively place, lots of punters, although a lot looked like tourists, and live music. It would have been good to stop and listen, but I had to make dinner and get to bed. Was a great big carpark, I think they get lots of campers and coaches of tourists.
