Alarm set for 5am, in order to leave at 6am, as needed to be at the ferry an hour before departure. A beautiful morning, I sat eating my porridge with the door open, watching the early morning movers, mainly a street sweeper emptying the bins on the harbour. It made be remember my time as a street sweeper in Plymouth, getting up early in the dark to travel to the depot, hearing the gulls. I really enjoyed that job, and I miss Plymouth, so really do intend to make a trip down there at some point this year.
The journey to Cairnryan was smooth and I arrived in Scotland with the sun shining. I travelled a reasonable distance to a place (that I wont be mentioning) in order to leave my van there while I travel down to Southampton for my next adventure, sailing back up to Scotland!
